PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for rooftop greening on which planted plants grow well and also which is light in weight to an extent of requiring not-so-particular increase in strength of the rooftop of a building. SOLUTION: The base for rooftop greening is formed by admixing water and cement using granular clinker ash as aggregate to make the mixture into a block state so as to have voids 2, ... in its inside and have the void ratio of 10-30%. The grain diameter of the granular clinker ash used as the aggregate is 3-20 mm, and the thickness H thereof is 30-60 mm.
