The present invention premature neonate life support environmental cradle (SEC), adapted by means of shape and size to be accommodated within (i) an incubator for premature neonates and (ii) a measurement device, especially an MRI device. The SEC is configured for a first at least one open position for accommodating said neonate whilst the SEC is within the incubator, and a second closed position for confinement of the neonate within a sealed volume of incubator atmosphere within the SEC such that the integrity of the confinement is maintained upon removal of the closed SEC containing the neonate from the incubator.La présente invention concerne un couffin à atmosphère contrôlée pour nouveau-nés prématurés destiné à maintenir les fonctions vitales, dont la forme et la taille permettent son positionnement à lintérieur (i) dune couveuse pour nouveau-nés prématurés et (ii) dun dispositif de mesure, notamment un dispositif dIRM. Le couffin à atmosphère contrôlée est configuré pour avoir au moins une première position ouverte pour accueillir le nouveau-né alors que le couffin se trouve à lintérieur la couveuse, et une seconde position fermée pour confiner le nouveau-né à lintérieur dun volume fermé dune atmosphère de couveuse à lintérieur du couffin de manière à ce que lintégrité du confinement soit maintenue lorsque lon retire de la couveuse le couffin fermé à lintérieur duquel se trouve le nouveau-né.
