Peptides are suitable for delivery of cargo into cells. Suitable cargo include nucleic acid molecules (including DNA, RNA or PNA), polypeptides, or other biologically active molecules. The present invention further relates to a transfection complex comprising a non-naturally occurring peptide of the present invention in association with at least one cationic lipid and a cargo delivered into the cell.
