An anchor assembly includes an open-architecture bone anchor and a corresponding anchor inserter. The bone anchor may include a plurality of ribs, an open helical coil, and a suture interfacing member. The helical coil includes a plurality of anchor openings and threads. The anchor inserter includes a body having a plurality of threads and grooves dimensioned to mate with the anchor openings and threads. The anchor inserter provides support (e.g., radial and axial) to the bone anchor during insertion.
