PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work vehicle control device capable of executing control to smoothly transition a mode from a mode to cause the work vehicle to manually travel to a mode to cause the work vehicle to autonomously travel.SOLUTION: A work vehicle control device includes a forward and backward travel control part, and a travel mode control part. The forward and backward travel control part controls forward and backward travel of the work vehicle. The travel mode control part executes one of a plurality of modes including at least a manual travel mode in which forward and backward travel of the work vehicle is performed according to an operation of an operation tool provided to the work vehicle, and an autonomous travel mode in which the forward and backward travel of the work vehicle is controlled without depending on the operation of the operation tool. The travel mode control part executes the autonomous travel mode by satisfying an autonomous travel start condition. A forward/backward travel switching tool can be switched at least among a forward travel position, a neutral position, and a backward travel position.
