An independent claim is also included for preparing the beverage comprising processing the poplar leaves to a poplar-leaves porridge by mechanically crushing the poplar leaves, adding sugar, adding water to obtain a mixture, heating the mixture at 90[deg] C or boiling for 5 minutes, filtering the mixture, allowing the mixture to cool, filtering, and adding at least one additional component including fruit juice, preferably apple juice, fruit nectar or fruit spritzer, wine, water, coffee, cola, pureed melon, or tea, preferably black tea； or moistening the whole poplar leaves using water, adding sugar, keeping aside for at least 12 hours, removing excess sugar, filtering sugar-water mixture, adding at least one component including fruit juice, preferably apple juice, fruit nectar or fruit spritzer, wine, water, coffee, cola, pureed melon, or tea, preferably black tea.
