SOLUTION: In the apparatus for planting garlic, etc., having a bulb planting holder 4, a movement mechanism 3 for moving the bulb planting holder to a holding position X and a planting position Y, an apparatus 8 for boring holes through the mulch film MF to cover a ridge and an apparatus 5 for forcing bulbs held by the bulb planting holder 4 at the planting position into the ground, the boring apparatus 8 is a mechanism for boring holes by breaking the surface of the mulch film MF while making pawls 82 for breaking the mulch film MF pass through the vicinity of the center of a predetermined position of planting and moving in the horizontal direction.
