PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathing assistance device which can improve mobility, can be installed on a bathtub of various sizes, and ensures safety in moving.SOLUTION: A bathing assistance device includes: a body placed at a prescribed position on a rim of a bathtub； a seat surface part provided on the body； and an ascending and descending device for ascending and descending the seat surface part in a first direction between a seat surface ascending and descending upper limit position where the seat surface part is not positioned on the rim in a top view and is positioned above the rim in a side view and a seat surface ascending and descending lower limit position on a bathtub bottom part side. The bathing assistance device includes a slide moving means for slidably moving the seat surface part in a second direction between a seat surface transfer position where at least a part of the seat surface part is positioned on the rim in the top view and the seat surface part is positioned closest to a rim side in the top view and the seat surface ascending and descending upper limit position.
