PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcium phosphate transparent material with low crystallinity that can be inexpensively manufactured without carrying out heat treatment at high temperature such as sintering, and to provide a method for manufacturing the transparent material.
SOLUTION: The calcium phosphate transparent material is obtained by leaving to stand a dispersion liquid having dispersion of calcium phosphate in a solvent in a temperature range higher than the solidifying point of the solvent and equal to or lower than a temperature higher by 100°C than the boiling point of the solvent. The obtained material shows transmittance of 30% to 100% for visible light when the material is formed into a film of 500 &mum thickness.
