A heartbeat sensor according to an embodiment includes a cover including an upper surface and a lower surface opposed to the upper surface a light emitting part formed on the lower surface of the cover and emitting an optical signal a light receiving part formed on the lower surface of the cover and receiving the optical signal reflected or absorbed by an object and a substrate formed on the lower surface of the cover and electrically connected to the light emitting part and the light receiving part. At least one of the light emitting part and the light receiving part is attached to the lower surface of the substrate while one surface thereof is in direct contact with the lower surface of the cover.
