A non-invasive procedure for the determination of parameters for the evaluation of the function of the vascular endothelium in a human subject, the procedure comprising: (a) measuring and recording as a function of time the intensity of the NADH fluorescence signal emitted from cells of skin tissue at a selected location on an upper limb of said subject to obtain a reference level； (b) block blood circulation in an artery to the upper limb upstream of the selected location, while continuing to measure and record such intensity as it increases as a function of time； (c) release the blockage of blood circulation while continuing to measure and record such intensity as it changes as a function of time until a steady state is obtained； and (d) determine parameters indicative of endothelial function from the course of changes in said intensity by measuring the difference ΔI between the maximum level of the intensity of the NADH fluorescence signal after the blockage of blood circulation and the minimum level of the intensity of NADH fluorescence after releasing the blockage of blood circulation in step (c)； and wherein said NADH fluorescence signal is emitted after illumination with and absorption of UV excitation light.Un procedimiento no invasivo para la determinación de parámetros para la evaluación de la función del endotelio vascular en un sujeto humano, comprendiendo el procedimiento: (a) medir y registrar en función del tiempo la intensidad de la señal de fluorescencia de NADH emitida de células de tejido de la piel en una localización seleccionada sobre una extremidad superior de dicho sujeto para obtener un nivel de referencia； (b) bloquear la circulación sanguínea en una arteria a la extremidad superior aguas arriba de la localización seleccionada, mientras que se continúa midiendo y registrando dicha intensidad a medida que aumenta en función del tiempo； (c) liberar el bloqueo de la circulación sanguínea mientras que se continúa midiendo y registrando dicha in
