A positioning system is disclosed comprising at least three elements, wherein the first element is adapted to be attached to said invasive device, the second element is adapted to be attached to a predefined surface area of a body, and the third element is adapted to be connected to a displaying means. The first element and the second element create a signal, to be received by the third element and which is indicative of the position of the first element within the body.
