PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article in which side sheets covering both side parts of an absorptive body are stably erected to form a leak-proof walls to provide excellent leak-proof property at both side parts of a skin contact face side of the absorptive article.
SOLUTION: On both side parts of the absorptive article 10, side sheets 71 and a pair of compressed grooves 6 extended in the longitudinal direction formed by compressing the surface sheet 2 and the absorptive body are set. The compressed grooves 6 are extended over a folding line formed by triple-folding the absorptive article to the border between a front part and the center part, and the border between the center part and the rear part of the absorptive body 10. Length of the side part sheets 71 from the bottom parts of the compressed grooves 6 to the inner end part in the width direction of the side part sheets 71 is longer than depth of the compressed grooves 6 and longer than width at the bottom parts of the compressed grooves 6. Depth of the compressed grooves 6 is 50-100% of thickness of the absorptive layer 11.
