The present invention provides a defibrillator. The defibrillator includes a pair of electrode which includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode an electrocardiogram signal unit electrically connected to the pair of electrode to receive an electrocardiogram signal a signal processing unit subtracted a compression signal from the electrocardiogram signal to obtain a ventricular fibrillation signal an evaluation unit compared an evaluation value of the ventricular fibrillation signal with a reference value and output a defibrillation indication if the evaluation value is smaller than the reference value and a defibrillation unit connected to the pair of electrode and output an electric current to the pair of electrode while receiving the defibrillation indication.
