PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dead chicken sensing system capable of detecting dead chickens with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A dead chicken sensing system 1 includes a camera 13 for photographing chickens in a cage, and a chicken life or death determination device 30 for determining the life or death of the chickens based on whether or not the dead chickens are contained in a monitoring image acquired from the camera 13. The chicken life or death determination device 30 constitutes a learning instrument where machine learning is performed previously by using the learning data containing a life image being the image obtained by photographing the chickens in the cage and not containing the dead chickens and a death image containing the dead chickens.
