PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a system breakdown of an X-ray CT apparatus.

SOLUTION: This X-ray CT apparatus 100 transmits detection data collected by two sets of scan systems, one comprising an X-ray tube 421, an X-ray detector 431, and DAS 441, and the other comprising an X-ray tube 422, an X-ray detector 432 and DAS 442 from a rotation section 4 of a gantry to a fixed section 5, or from the fixed section 5 to a control device 2 using independent transmission routes respectively as shown by Fig.1, processes them by a data processing unit consisting of a preprocessing section 22 and an image reconstruction section 23 and, when a trouble occurs in the transmission route of one scan system, changes it to a normal transmission route to transmit the data.
