PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus capable of verifying whether or not a failure is due to information compression when the failure such as noise or an error occurs in data.SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus includes a data collection means, a data processing means and a verification means. The data collection means irradiates a subject with X-rays, collects detection data on the X-rays that have passed through the subject, compresses the detection data by a lossy compression system, and thus generates compressed data. The data processing means generates X-ray CT image data on the subject on the basis of the compressed data transmitted from the data collection means through a transmission route.
