PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric toothbrush preventing dentifrice from scattering.SOLUTION: An electric toothbrush 1 has a gripping part 10 and a brush part 20. The gripping part 10 has a driving part 60, a gripping part electrode 40, a detection part 30 and a control part 50. The brush part 20 has a brush head part electrode 41. The detection part 30 changes output electric potential in response to interelectrode resistance between the griping part electrode 40 and the brush head part electrode 41.
