PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection needle having a needle tube and a light guide member disposed in the needle tube capable of preventing fragments generated when the light guide member breaks from flowing outside the needle tube.SOLUTION: An injection needle 15 includes a hollow tubular needle tube 50 inserted into a living body from a tip 50b side, inside of which liquid can circulate, a light guide member 16 disposed inside a hollow part 50a of the needle tube 50 in a state that the tip 16a is located in the vicinity of a needle tube tip 50b for guiding the light incident from the rear end to the tip, and a light absorber 55 disposed at a position where the light emitted from the tip 16a of the light guide member 16 is incident, for absorbing the light.
