PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect not only abnormal eggs caused by blood eggs but also abnormal eggs caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and stain adhesion. SOLUTION: The light including the absorption wavelength component of the blood egg from the first light source 2a and the intensity-modulated light for generating fluorescence by irradiation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa or dirt from the second light source 2b are emitted to the egg W. The light is irradiated, and the transmitted light or the diffusely reflected light is branched into two by the light branching device 3b. One of the lights has a wavelength component absorbed by the blood egg, the light of the second light source 2b, and the fluorescence generated by the second light source 2b is blocked by the first filter 3c. The optical power detector 3e detects the optical power. The other light blocks the light of the second light source 2b by the second filter 3f, transmits the light of the absorption wavelength component of blood eggs, and the fluorescence generated by the second light source 2b, and outputs a voltage signal according to the light amount. The second optical power detector 3h detects the optical power, and the optical modulated light power detector 3i detects the optical power of the intensity modulated light.
