PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope unit in which white balance of a captured image does not change even if the light emitting wavelength of a light source changes or emission quantity changes.SOLUTION: The endoscope unit 10 includes: a light source device 12 which has a first light source 42 for emitting a first narrow band light of a first wavelength, a second light source 44 for emitting a second narrow band light and a light source information storage section 48 for storing the first wavelength, and in which the first wavelength is within a predetermined variable range for the first central light emission wavelength an endoscope 11 which has a phosphor 20 for emitting a first fluorescent light upon excitation, and changing in fluorescent characteristics in response to the variations in the emission quantity of the first narrow band light and excitation wavelength, a florescent characteristic storage section 29 for storing the first fluorescent characteristics and an image pickup section 26 for outputting an image pickup signal and a processor device 13 having a control section 50 for reading the excitation wavelength and the first fluorescent characteristics for the change thereof, calculating the emission quantity of the second narrow band light so that the white balance is within a predetermined range, and controlling the calculated quantity.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】光源の発光波長が変わったとしても、また、出射光量を変えたとしても、撮像画像のホワイトバランスの変わらない内視鏡装置を提供する。【解決手段】第1の波長の第1の狭帯域光を出射する第1の光源42、第2の狭帯域光を出射する第2の光源44、及び第1の波長を記憶する光源情報記憶部48を有し、第1の波長は、第1の中心発光波長に対して所定の変動範囲内に入るものである光源装置12と、励起されて第1の蛍光光を発光し、第1の狭帯域光の出射光量及び励起波長の変動に応じて蛍光特性が変化する蛍光体20、第1の蛍光特性を記憶する蛍光特性記憶部29、撮像画像信号を出力する撮像部26と、を有する内視鏡11と、励起波長とその変動に対する第1の蛍光特性を読み出し、ホワイトバランスが所定の範囲に入るように、第2の狭帯域光の出射光量を算出し、制御する制御部50を有するプロセッサ装置13と、を備える内視鏡装置10を提供する。【選択図】図2
