The systems and methods according to embodiments of the present disclosureprovideoptimal tissue effect during an electrosurgical procedure. A system and methodfor controllingan electrosurgical generator is provided including sensing an impedance oftarget tissuegenerating electrosurgical energy in a first phase at a first power leveluntil the sensed impedanceof the target tissue is greater than a first threshold impedance generating aplurality of pulses ofelectrosurgical energy in a second phase at a second power level, each pulsebeing generated untilthe sensed impedance of the target tissue is greater than a second thresholdimpedance set for thatpulse and generating at least one high-voltage pulse in a third phase at athird power level for apredetermined duration to divide the target tissue.The systems and methods according to embodiments of the present disclosureprovideoptimal tissue effect during an electrosurgical procedure.
