PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of absorbent articles, capable of inhibiting lowering of absorption performance and deterioration in wearing texture by inhibiting particles of a highly absorbent polymer from being exposed to a skin-facing surface.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of absorbent articles includes: a compressed groove forming step S5 of embossing a liquid-permeable top sheet to form compressed grooves； a highly absorbent polymer layer forming step S6 of covering an absorbent material including particles of the highly absorbent polymer by a cover sheet to form a highly absorbent polymer layer； and a highly absorbent polymer layer lamination step S7 of laminating the top sheet and the highly absorbent polymer layer. The highly absorbent polymer layer lamination step is a post-process of the compressed groove forming step.【課題】高吸収性ポリマーの粒子が吸収性物品の肌対向面側に露出することを抑制し、吸収性能の低下や装着感の悪化を抑制できる吸収性物品の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】吸収性物品の製造方法は、液透過性の表面シートにエンボス加工を施して圧搾溝を形成する圧搾溝形成工程Ｓ５と，高吸収性ポリマーの粒子を含む吸収材料を被覆シートで覆い、高吸収性ポリマー層を成形する高吸収性ポリマー層成形工程Ｓ６と、表面シートと高吸収性ポリマー層とを積層する高吸収性ポリマー層積層工程Ｓ７と、を備える。高吸収性ポリマー層積層工程は、圧搾溝形成工程の後工程である。【選択図】図３
