PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely separate an object to be cut from a continuous sheet.SOLUTION: This separation device includes a first roll and a second roll which rotate along a conveyance direction of the continuous sheet while making the outer peripheral parts of the rolls face each other, and separates the object to be cut in the continuous sheet from the continuous sheet when the continuous sheet passes through a roll clearance between the first roll and the second roll. The first roll has a pushing member for pushing the object to be cut in the continuous sheet into a recess of the outer peripheral part of the second roll. The second roll has a holding part for holding the object to be cut which has been pushed into the recess in the recess.
