PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the anteroposterior length of a body of a root vegetable harvester.SOLUTION: The root vegetable harvester includes: a pulling-up conveyor 11 provided on the left side of a traveling vehicle body in the anteroposterior direction, which pulls out and conveys a root vegetable posterosuperiorly a stem and leaf cutter 13 arranged below and behind the pulling-up conveyor 11, which cuts a stem and leaf part of the root vegetable a residual leaf processing section 8 arranged below the stem and leaf cutter 13, which removes residual leaves that remain in a taproot after cutting and a sorting conveyer 4 which conveys the taproot after the residual leaf processing rightward, and sorts while conveying. The residual leaf processing section 8 is provided below and behind the pulling-up conveyor 11 in the anteroposterior direction, and processes the residual leaves while conveying forward.
