PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fish catching device and a fish catching method, the device being set in the seabed and the bottom of a river and being able to stably catch fishes, particularly an eel and a glass eel being the eel fry.SOLUTION: A catching device 1 is provided in which a net member 3 is covered on a container body 2 with an upper surface opening formed in a substantially rectangular solid. A pipe member 4 and a weight member 5 are mounted in the net member 3, respectively. The catching device 1 like this is installed in the seabed and the bottom of a river during a fixed period before an eel and a glass eel as the catching target fishes are caught by the catching device 1. The catching device 1 includes the pipe member 4 and the net member 3, and thereby, for example, the eel becoming the catching target is caught by the pipe member 4 and the glass eel being an eel fry is caught by the net member 3, respectively. Accordingly, the eel and the glass eel can be caught simultaneously by the catching device 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】海底や川底に仕掛けられ、魚類、特に鰻、およびその稚魚であるシラスウナギを安定的に捕獲することができる魚類の捕獲装置、および魚類の捕獲方法を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】捕獲装置1は上面開口の略直方体をした容器本体2に網状部材3が覆設され、網状部材3にはパイプ部材4、および錘部材5がそれぞれ載置されている。このような捕獲装置1は、捕獲対象魚類としての鰻やシラスウナギが捕獲装置1により捕獲されるまでの一定期間、海底や川底に設置される。捕獲装置1はパイプ部材4と網状部材3を備えることにより、例えば捕獲対象となる鰻は、パイプ部材4により捕獲され、鰻の稚魚であるシラスウナギは網状部材3によりそれぞれ捕獲される。従って、捕獲装置1により鰻とシラスウナギを同時に捕獲できるものとなっている。【選択図】図1
