Disclosed is a submarine vehicle apparatus adapted to remotely clean submerged nets. The apparatus has a skid chassis (1) adapted for smooth and snare free sliding across the surface of the net (2). Buoyancy means (3) associated with the chassis provides the cleaner with buoyancy. A driving means (4) is provided to cooperate with the net and maneuver the cleaner about the surface of the net. A propulsion means (5) is provided to propel the cleaner onto and maintain contact with the net and a cleaning means (6) is provided to remove contaminants from the net including marine fouling from the surface of the net so as to clean the net.
