The invention pertains to a combine header (100) having a frame (102) that extends laterally； a trough (100) that extends laterally, fixed to the frame (102)； a rear wall (112) that extends laterally； an auger (120) extending laterally and having at least one flight, said auger (120) being mounted for rotation on the frame (102) and having a laterally extending rotational axis, the header (100) comprising a first stripper (124) that extends laterally and generally parallel to the rotational axis of the auger (120)； and a second stripper (128) that extends laterally. It is proposed that the first stripper (124) is fixed to the rear wall (112), that the second stripper (128) is fixed to the rear wall (112) below the first stripper (124), and that second stripper (128) has an adjustable width measured in a fore-and-aft direction.
