The disposable diaper has a first area (R11) having the rear-side waist expansion/contraction sheet arranged therein and a second area (R2) not having the rear-side waist expansion/contraction sheet arranged therein and having a lower elongation rate than the first area. The elongation rate in the product width direction in a side section area (R12) in the first area is lower than the elongation rate in the product width direction in a center area (R11) of the first area.
