PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound which mediates the complement pathway and acts as a factor D inhibitor, which is required for the treatment of a disorder in a host including human associated with misregulation of complement cascade. The inhibitors target Factor D and inhibit or regulate the complement cascade at key points early in the alternative complement pathway, reducing the ability of Factor D to modulate the classical and lectin complement pathways.
