PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily diagnose whether a lung nodule is benign or malignant.
SOLUTION: A lung nodule identifying section 220 identifies the lung nodule, and a lung nodule analyzing section 230 analyzes the lung nodule to identify a boundary, a centroid, a GES, an SES, etc. A polar plot section 240 generates a predetermined number of rays and displays a polar plot. An application treatment section 250 changes display of the polar plot and calculates quantitative data on the lung nodule on the basis of an instruction by a user. The quantitative data is outputted as a report and used also as input to a CAD system.
