The invention relates to a process for dyeing keratin fibres, such as human keratin fibres, and in particular the hair, comprising the application, to said fibres, of: i) a composition comprising one or more dyes chosen from chromene dyes and chromane dyes, ii) a composition comprising one or more zinc mineral salts, compositions i) and ii) being two distinct compositions or forming a single composition, said process excluding any use of a chemical oxidizing agent other than the oxygen in the air, and also to a composition and to the use thereof.Linvention porte sur un procédé pour la coloration de fibres kératiniques, telles que des fibres kératiniques humaines, et en particulier les cheveux, comprenant lapplication, sur lesdites fibres, de : i) une composition comprenant un ou plusieurs colorants choisis parmi les colorants chromènes et les colorants chromanes, ii) une composition comprenant un ou plusieurs sels inorganiques du zinc, les compositions i) et ii) étant deux compositions distinctes ou formant une seule composition, ledit procédé excluant toute utilisation dun agent oxydant chimique autre que loxygène présent dans lair.
