Disclosed are a family of oxazolo[5,4-B]pyridin-5-yl compounds as shown in the abstract figure wherein X is methoxyethyl or ethoxymethyl and Q is cyclopropyl, 2-methyl-propanol-2-yl, 3-methyloxetan-3-yl or 1-hydroxymethyl-1-cyclopropyl. The disclosure also relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds and the use of these compounds in the treatment of cancer, specifically ovarian cancer and multiple myeloma. The compound may be used with sunitinib. Examples of the compounds include: 5-[5-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-2-(3-methyloxetan-3-yl)-1H-imidazol-4-yl]-N-[(1S)-3-methoxy-1-methylpropyl]oxazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-2-amine, [1-[5-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-4-[2-[[(1S)-2-ethoxy-1-methyl-ethyl]amino]oxazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-5-yl]-1H-imidazol-2-yl]cyclopropyl]methanol 2-[5-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-4-[2-[[(1S)-3-methoxy-1-methyl-propyl]amino]oxazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-5-yl]-1H-imidazol-2-yl]-2-methyl-propan-1-ol.
