An absorbent article which is excellent in the prevention of decubitus caused by contaminant urine in the buttocks on the back side of the human body, specifically, an absorbent article which comprises a liquid-impermeable back sheet (2), a liquid-permeable top sheet (1), and an absorber (3) interposed between the inside surface of the back sheet (2) and the top sheet (1) over the area spread from the crotch zone (M) to the front zone (F) and in which the back sheet (2) is laminated with an overlay sheet (12) on the outer-surface side. A pair of first linear easily bendable areas (3y) is present in the crotch zone (M) on both sides of the widthwise central area in a state extending on the back side of the boundary of the front zone (F) of the article. Two mechanical tapes (14a, 14b) are bonded with an adhesive or the like to the overlay sheet (12) outside the pair of easily bendable areas (3y) with the backs of the tapes (14a, 14b) facing the overlay sheet (12) and thus fixed to the overlay sheet (12) outside the areas (3y).
