PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe which reduces resistance to an oscillator unit by a coupling medium and reduces weight of the ultrasonic probe in the ultrasonic probe having the oscillator unit performing scan mechanically.SOLUTION: A cover 14 is detachably mounted to a lower case 10, and has permeability for making the coupling medium 38 pass through. The coupling medium 38 enters the inside from the outside of the cover 14 and spreads out in a gap between a wave transmitting and receiving surface 36A of an array oscillator 34 and the internal surface 14A of the cover 14. The oscillator unit 22 performs mechanical scan under the state and simultaneously performs electronic scan repeatedly, and consequently, three-dimensional echo data is acquired. A projecting part may be provided on the oscillator unit 22. In addition, a partitioning film may be provided on the periphery of the oscillator unit 22.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】振動子ユニットが機械的に走査される超音波探触子において、カップリング媒体による振動子ユニットへの抵抗を緩和し、また超音波探触子を軽量化する。【解決手段】カバー14は下ケース10に対して着脱自在に装着されるものであり、カバー14はカップリング媒体38を通過させる浸透性を有している。カバー14の外部から内部にカップリング媒体38が進入し、アレイ振動子34の送受波面36Aとカバー14の内面14Aとの隙間にカップリング媒体38が展開する。その状態で振動子ユニット22が機械走査されつつ、同時に電子走査が繰り返し行われ、これによって三次元エコーデータが取得される。振動子ユニット22に張出部を設けるようにしてもよい。また振動子ユニット22の周囲に仕切膜を設けることも可能である。【選択図】図1
