PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone-treated powder which can be compounded into various cosmetics and is excellent in stability in products and to provide a production method of the same.SOLUTION: This silicone-treated powder is a powder of which the surface is coated with a silicone compound. The amount of hydrogen generated by Si-H groups remaining on the surface of the powder is 0.2 mL or lower based on 1 g of the treated powder, and the contact angle of the powder with water is 100° or higher. The treated powder is produced by coating the surface of a powder with a silicone compound and heating the resultant silicone-coated powder at 260-500°C for 0.1-24 h.COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO【課題】 種々の化粧料に配合でき、製品中での安定性に優れたシリコーン処理粉体、およびその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】 粉体の表面にシリコーン化合物が被覆されたシリコーン処理粉体であって、該シリコーン処理粉体表面上に残存するSi-H基によって発生する水素量が0.2mL/処理粉体1g以下で、かつ処理粉体に対する水の接触角が100°以上を示すものとする。またその製造方法は、粉体の表面にシリコーン化合物を被覆したシリコーン化合物被覆粉体を、260~500℃で、0.1~24時間加熱する。
