PURPOSE: Bed soil for a rice-paddy using yellow soil as a main material is provided to reduce the mixture amount of coco peat, and to secure the water holding capacity and the fertilizer holding capacity of the soil. CONSTITUTION: Bed soil for a rice-paddy using yellow soil as a main material contains 55-65 vol% of yellow soil, 12-16 vol% of diatomite, 12-16 vol% of coco peat without salinity, and 11-13 vol% of vermiculite. The yellow soil is obtained from the ground after removing more than 50 cm of surface soil. The diatomite is non-weathered diatomite containing pyrite.
