PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, by targeting a tomato-containing beverage imparting a fruit tomato-like taste, a tomato-containing beverage having ameliorated, while preserving sweetness and richness derived from tomatoes, an unpleasant aftertaste lingering in the throat during and after the ingestion thereof and an overall balance experienced at the time of the ingestion thereof including the former and a method for ameliorating the same.SOLUTION: The &gamma-aminobutyric acid content of a tomato-containing beverage preserving a taste unique to tomatoes is adjusted at 55-100 mg/100 g, whereas the content ratio of the &gamma-aminobutyric acid and calcium (&gamma-aminobutyric acid/calcium) is adjusted at 5.9-8.1.【課題】フルーツトマトのような味覚を有するトマト含有飲料において、トマト由来の甘味や濃厚感を維持しつつも、飲用時後半に喉に残る不快味や、これを含めた飲用時に感じる全体のバランス感が改善されたトマト含有飲料およびその改善方法を提供する。【解決手段】トマト本来の呈味を保持したトマト含有飲料におけるγ-アミノ酪酸を55~100mg/100gに調整し、且つγ-アミノ酪酸とカルシウムとの含有比率(γ-アミノ酪酸/カルシウム)を5.9~8.1に調整する。【選択図】なし
