PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus that protects patient information by carrying out logoff automatically even when a doctor forgets to logoff.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes a patient detection section 7 for detecting a patient, a patient information holding section 8 for holding patient ID information being displayed presently, a patient presence determination section 9 for determining whether a patient is present or not referring to patient ID information inputted from them, and an examination termination control section 10 for carrying out logoff on the basis of a signal from the patient presence determination section.
