PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical tomographic imaging apparatus capable of measuring a measuring concerned region with high resolving power without relying on the position (depth) of the measuring concerned region in SS-OCT using a wavelength sweeping light source, and a tomographic image acquiring method.

SOLUTION: The optical tomographic imaging apparatus has a light path length adjusting part for setting a first reference position in a measuring depth direction to the inner edge part of a measuring range by adjusting the light path length of reference light and a light path length changing-over part having a light path length, which imparts a second reference position different in measuring depth with respect to the first reference position by predetermined quantity and becomes the outer edge part of the measuring range, preset thereto and altering the light path length of reference light or light path length of reflected light adjusted by the light path length adjusting part to change over the first reference position and the second reference position.
