More specifically, the present invention relates to an illumination-type cinerary urn which mitigates a drawback of existing funeral culture, can contribute to funeral culture with many advantages, and can provide novel funeral culture to descendants. People can easily access the illumination-type cinerary urn and thus can more frequently visit a place where the illumination-type cinerary urn is placed to cherish the memory of a deceased person. People can easily identify the illumination-type cinerary urn in which ash of the deceased person. According to the present invention, the illumination-type cinerary urn includes: a main body including an accommodation unit which accommodates ash of a deceased person, and a light-transmitting unit which is joined with the accommodation unit and is made of a transparent or translucent material； an illumination means which is arranged in the main body and emits light for illumination； a power supply means for supplying power to the illumination means； and a hanger means arranged on the main body.
