PURPOSE: An ashes box and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to protect ashes against external shock, heat and humidity since a protective layer, a first protecting member and a second protecting member are formed on the surface of an ashes body and filler is filled in between the first and second protecting members. CONSTITUTION: An ashes box comprises an ashes body(110), a protective layer, a first protecting member(130), a second protecting member(140) and filler. Pressure is applied to ashes, thus the ashes body is formed in a ball shape. The protective layer is coated on the surface of the ashes body in a vacuum state to keep the shape of the ashes body. The first protecting member is formed in a ball shape so that the ashes body coated with the protective layer is held. The second protecting member is formed in a ball shape so that the first protecting member is held. A gap is formed between the inner and outer surfaces of the first protecting member. The filler is filled in the gap. 본 발명은 납골함 및 이의 제조 방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 상기 납골함의 제조 방법에 있어서, 유골에 압력을 가하여 일정 형태의 유골체를 제작하는 단계와； 진공 상태에서 상기 유골체의 표면에 보호층을 피복하는 단계와； 일측에 식별을 위한 식별 번호가 각인된 제 1보호부재 내부에 상기 보호층이 피복된 유골체를 수납한 후 상기 제 1보호부재를 밀봉하는 단계； 및 상기 유골체가 수납된 제 1보호부재를 제 2보호부재 내에 수납한 후 상기 제 1보호부재와 제 2보호부재 사이에 충전재를 충전 후 상기 제 2보호부재를 밀봉하는 단계로 이루어진다. 상기와 같은 본 발명에 따르면 유골에 압력을 가하여 유골만으로 유골체를 제작함으로써 유골 자체에 이물질이 섞이는 것을 미연에 방지하여 유가족의 우려를 없앨 수 있고, 또한, 유골체의 표면에 보호층과 제 1보호부재 및 제 2보호부재로 형성하고, 제 1보호부재와 제 2보호부재 사이에 충전재를 충전함으로써 외부 충격과 열 및 습기에 상대적으로 강해 미관이 외려하고, 영구보존이 가능할 수 있다.
