PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and quality stick pet food in which a belt-like meat material has an approximately certain interval, the texture of a core material can be confirmed readily, the meat material is difficult to be peeled off from the core material at least as much as, or more than the conventional ones and to provide an efficient production method thereof.SOLUTION: The invention provides a stick pet food in which a meat material is spirally coiled around a core material. The core material is obtained by mixing/kneading raw materials containing a protein, calcium, starch, and others as nutritional components at a given combination ratio, and by subsequently molding into a stick shape and drying. The meat material is obtained by drying an approximately rectangular mince-molded sheet in which meat and/or fish meat mince is put into a molding form to be molded. The meat material is composed by connecting two or more of the dried mince-molded sheets in a longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
