PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance assisting device which prevents rapid deceleration when a conveying person releases one hand from an operation part.SOLUTION: A conveyance assisting device is used when a conveying person conveys an object, and comprises: a drive part for assisting the conveyance of the object； an operation part having a left operation input part and a right operation input part to which operations by a left hand and a right hand of the conveying person to the drive part are inputted； a control part 4 for controlling the drive part in accordance with each operation amount inputted to the left operation input part and the right operation input part； a left hand detection part 2i for detecting whether or not the left hand of the conveying person is in contact with the left operation input part； and a right hand detection part 2j for detecting whether or not the right hand of the conveying person is in contact with the right operation input part.
