PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mattress for self-support for persons requiring the care of a mild or intermediate degree, which is excellent in a body pressure dispersing performance, is excellent in the easiness of rising on a bed, the easiness of moving and the stable feeling of an upright sitting position, etc., while having a high bedsore preventing effect, and especially has functionality for the purpose of self-support for the persons requiring the care.SOLUTION: The mattress with the body pressure dispersing performance is composed of at least three layers of a surface layer 1(A), intermediate layers 2 and 3(B) and a back surface layer 4(C) formed by laminating a foamed mat material. The intermediate layer (B) is structured such that a hard member 3(B1) is disposed on at least a part of the peripheral edge part in the short side direction of the mattress and a soft member 2(B2) is disposed at the center part in the width direction of the mattress.
