PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam sterilizer which has a simple structure and which makes the amount of adhesion of scale extremely small.SOLUTION: A control means 5 makes a predetermined quantity of hot water discharged from inside a boiler 2 by controlling an on-off valve 2d for drainage in predetermined timing except a step of sterilizing an article to be sterilized. Thus, scale production substances such as calcium, magnesium and silica, which are contained in the hot water stored inside the boiler 2, are reduced.
