The invention relates to the enrichment of non-photosynthetic micro-organisms with organic selenium, and more particularly with selenomethionine, from a compound of the seleno-hydroxyacid type such as 2-hydroxy-4-methylseleno-butanoic acid in the (D, L) form or in the form of an enantioner, salt, ester, or amide derivative of said compound, and to the use of micro-organisms, particularly bacteria thus enriched in the fields of animal or human nutrition, cosmetics, or pharmaceuticals.Linvention se rapporte à lenrichissement de microorganismes non photosynthétiques en sélénium organique, et plus particulièrement en sélénométhionine, à partir dun composé de type séléno-hydroxy acide tel que lacide 2-hydroxy-4-méthylséléno-butanoïque, sous forme (D, L), ou dun énantiomère, sel, dérivé ester ou amide de ce composé, ainsi que lutilisation des microorganismes, et plus particulièrement des bactéries, ainsi enrichis en nutrition animale ou humaine, en cosmétique ou en pharmacie.
