A system, comprising: a first pest control device group (30) including a plurality of wireless communication nodes (42), each of the wireless communication nodes (42) being provided with a corresponding pest sensor (46) and a first gateway (33) to receive sensor data from the corresponding sensor (46) of each of the wireless communication nodes (42), one or more of the wireless communication nodes (42) including a respective controller to execute operating logic to define a wireless communication network (36) between the wireless communication nodes (42), the wireless communication network (36) including a first subset of the wireless communication nodes (42) to relay sensor information to the first gateway (33) from a second subset of the wireless communication nodes (42), the second subset being different than the first subset.
