The present disclosure relates generally to methods and compositions for treatingsymptoms of Parkinson's disease and/or other movement disorders. Moreparticularly, the present disclosure describes a method for treating symptomsof Parkinson's disease and related disorders by administering a compositioncomprising one or more of the following active agents； estradiol, estriol, testosterone,and 19-nortestosterone. In addition, the compositions of the present inventioncan be used for enhancing or optimizing the effectiveness of neural stimulationin treating the symptoms of movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease.
