PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a planting locus long in the longitudinal direction by a seedling planting body, using a simple and compact mechanism, and to obtain a seedling planting apparatus that readily carries out bottom planting of vine seedling, and the like, in the seedling planting body for retaining and planting sweet potato seedlings, such as vine seedlings.SOLUTION: The seedling planting body for retaining, conveying and planting seedlings is supported by connection points (Q1) and (Q2) of two places. The connection point (Q1) at a side close to a seedling-holding position is connected through a connection link (21), to a first driver (20) rotating and driving about a shaft (19) which does not move to the machine-body side. The connection point (Q2) at a side remote from the seedling holding position is connected to a second driver (23) which rotates and drives about a shaft (22) which does not move to the machine-body side. The movement stroke of the connection point (Q1) on the side close to the seedling-holding position is made larger than that of the connection point (Q2) at the side which is far from the seedling-holding position.
